Our ChickenSoup (5B) Serving ...

The issue given is = Do we need to consider personality in recruiting the new workers? Why you say so?

Our group totally agrees that we should consider personality in recruiting the new workers.

This is because personality as the first impression if individual and organization. For example, the workers who possess high Machiavellianism personality they actually have high self-esteem and self confidence.

In order to recruit a worker based on his or her personality, we should be able to identify whether they have high Machiavellianism. Normally people will possesses high level of Machiavellianism in order to get what they want because they have high self-esteem and self confidence during the interview session.

Good personality will be displayed through attitude in all situations. For example, the people who have high self-monitoring are quite rare sensitive to external cues and can behave differently in different situation. For the person who has high self-monitoring, they can easily suit to with any situation and person, so that the people will feel comfortable with them. In addition, this kind of person also can increase the interest of client when dealing with them.

As the conclusion, we should know how to determine the individual personality in order to recruit new employment.

We agree with some of your point, but actually you should give an answer more specific towards what are the requirement for that particular job, because not all of the position, need to look based on personality, we have various type of position in organization, and not all of that required a very good personality .

Next, we just wondering, how can you judge a person whether he/she has this "Mach", because its hard for us (as reasonble man) to identified whether he/she has this personality, because basically the tendency of this kind of people to use advantage of others is high and selfish so, in order for you to notice about that, only if he/she already become your employee and you have evaluated his/her performance.

That's all,we're sorry if what we've comment that might hurt your feeling or you guys might feel uncomfortable with, but this is our opinion, hope you guys can accept it.
Overall well done..!!TQ

Theoretically speaking, you can know someone's personality even though you never work with them.

Although this becoming the major issue discussed by most of the organizations around the world, the recruitment based on personality is very much practised.

Of course to evaluate someone in the first meeting is not right. But, given to the human nature - attitudes, values and perceptions - that largely marked by our experiences in life, our first impression (I guess) almost 60% true. Thus, you can tell instantly whether that people fit for the job or not when you interviewed them ...

Plus, there are so many software has been created and designed (that based on myriad numbers of case study and research)can be used by the organization in order to determine the personality of the candidate.

For example, those who want to enter PTD service has to sit for personality test where you're required to answer sets of questions that later be analysed in order to determine your personality.

After all, sometimes we don't really know what is our personality ... so, if people tell you that you're High Machs, but you don't feel like one, it still shape your personality.

we look into the big scope of environment where it cover the whole population. personality is something a view of perception, therefore people will tend to look into person personality. for example in the reality TV show in the Apprentice programs. all of the candidate chosen look very confident and very mature in his personality. Donald Trump take as his consideration for his subordinate. don't you?
